Harris Martinson was born in Maryland in 1985.
He is an artist working in painting, drawing, and sculpture. He presented his first solo exhibition, The Future Burns, in 2023 at Miami University. His work was included in New American Paintings, Issue #151 in 2020. He has shown in group exhibitions at the Contemporary Arts Center (Cincinnati, OH), Cooper Union (New York, NY), Leeds Gallery at Earlham College (Richmond, IN). He served as an instructor of record in the College of Creative Arts at Miami University teaching Color Theory & Practice and Beginning Drawing. He currently serves as a Technical Assistant in the Art and Architecture Shop at Cooper Union. He has earned degrees from Miami University (MFA) and the University of Iowa (BA, History).
He lives and works in New York, NY.
